Salman Khan starrer Race 3 got a thunderous response from the fans upon its release on last Friday. The ardent fans – who are quite a lot in number- watch the movie in the first three days, making it cross Rs 100 crore before Monday morning. By the end of its sixth day, the movie stands with a total of Rs 142.01 crore. It collected Rs 9.25 crore on Wednesday. In no time, Race 3 will have Rs 150 crore to its credit. Which by the way, is all profits for the makers, as reports have suggested that the movie is earned most of its cost of production back via satellite rights.
Race 3 also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. The movie directed by Remo D’Souza is a reboot of the franchise, which previously was headlined by Saif Ali Khan. The movie has not pleased the critics at all. But that is not stopping from Bhai fans from flocking to the theatres. What a crowd puller Salman Khan is. Speaking about the same, Bobby has said, “I am really happy because people have appreciated the work of the entire cast of the film, including me. I think criticism affects us when we make a bad film, but I think if our film was too bad, then it wouldn’t have worked at the box office.” Well, we will say that Salman Khan is a phenomenal crowd puller.
Salman will soon start shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat and Dabangg 3. The work on Sher Khan will begin soon. Work on the script of Kick is also underway. In fact, in an EXCLUSIVE chat with BollywoodLife, Race 3 producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed a sequel of the film. Taurani told Bollywoodlife, “Woh Banegi… Race 4 zarur banegi. Par pehle script banegi, phir decide hoga. Nothing is decided.” He asserted that once he gets the script for the film, a cast will be finalised. But will there be Salman Khan in it? “Zarur honge…Salman Khan nahi honge to kaise hoga,” the producer added.
